About the Club

With its beginnings in February 1968, the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club is the oldest Nissan/Datsun car club in the world.

The NDSOC comprises of approximately 300 members who share the common interest in both classic and modern Nissan Datsun Sporting vehicles, from early Datsun Fairlady Roadsters, Prince Skylines, 240Z,260Z,300ZX , 1600, to Nissans latest weaponry the GTR Skylines, 200SX models and of course the 350Z and 370Z.

The NDSOC is very active in both competition and social events with members competing at club race days on a monthly basis. The NDSOC is affiliated with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport , therefore members are eligible to obtain CAMS licenses for competition motor sport events.

The club holds monthly general meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at the Tower Hotel Hawthorn East The general meetings are chaired by the committee and often include guest speakers and video presentations. The meetings are very social and a great opportunity for club members to get together on a regular basis for a beer and a laugh as well as swap stories and information The activities organised for members include:

> Multi car sprint meetings at various race circuits such as Sandown, Winton, Rob Roy, Philip Island and Calder (both club organised and MSCA )
> Driver Training Days at race circuits
> Navigation trials
> Touring events
> Technical Days
> Monthly Social meetings which include Dinners, BBQs, Go-Karting, Pool Nights, Golf, etc
> End of year Concours De Elegance
> End of Year Presentation Dinner
